+ Role-Play Mechanics
The world:
Ploria is a medieval fantasy game set in its own world/realm, following the events of the {timeline} your character can be born in either Era, this will determine how old your character is. While providing some type of lore to your character history. Magic and fantastical beasts run freely in this new world as technology has yet to be discovered! It is from the soil of this new world that humans and other fantastical races have sprung up to reclaim the world from the wild.
Seasons:
- Warmcrest - Summer
- Frostclose - Winter
- Amberreign- Fall
- Dimsun - Spring
Time:
- Time flows a bit differently, only slightly corresponding with how Time flows outside of the Role-Play. Two days (48 hours) in real-time will equal One full day in Role-Play. This will allow characters to progress instead of being stuck.
Downside:
- Leaving your character outside of safe areas, like in Dungeons or out in the world exploring without protection will subject your character to the dangers that come with the outside world. Your character could die, so please be sure to check in! However, if your character has the means to survive from their stats (In certain situations) you could come back to your character heavily empowered.
Example: Character A - RP'er has left for a month w/out word. Character A stats are pretty high for the Dungeon that he/she is in. When the RP'er returns, they'll notice that the character would still be in that Dungeon. Now because that character was already stronger than the dungeon itself. The character would be trapped inside, surviving for the amount of time the RP'er left. This will add power up to your character.
Need Meter:
Health, Stamina, Water, Food, Rest, and Temperature are important factors the player must tend to in the game. While on your adventure your character will face various challenges along the way. It is important to eat, sleep and rest when needed. Equipping the correct armor will protect your character from various temperatures. Food doesn't replenish health, however, it can replenish stamina. Characters do not automatically sleep or eat, so remember when adventuring that these factors are important. Because if your run out of stamina your character will fall unconscious.
Death:
When your character dies, you have one (1) options:
- Depending on your characters action will determine if your character goes to the afterlife or to the Underworld.
Pain and injuries can cause severe mental trauma. For example, should a player's character lose any of their limbs, the pain would be excruciating, and cannot be mended until death or healed. But players have the option of using high rank (A and up) healing magic to subside the pain or restore the missing limb.
Traveling From Location to Location:
From top to bottom, each board is a different Location. Each Board is about 50 miles apart from each other. So a character walking from the Top board all the way to the bottom and arriving in minutes wouldn't be realistic. Character will have to use the Travel Board when traveling between locations, even if that location is within the same board.
On Foot:
Walking on Foot takes 4 post to arrival.
Mounts:
Riding mounts takes about 2 post to arrival
